Type:                     Fulltime (40 hours / week) contract

Length:                 1 year+

Pay:                       $23.92/ HR Based on Experience

Shift/Hours:       8A – 5P

 

Responsibilities for this Compliance Specialist position include but are not limited to:

The main function of a compliance specialist is to plan, direct, and coordinate regulatory programs of an organization to maximize the strategic use of compliance and maintain functions. A typical compliance specialist is responsible for all internal and external changes associated with products or services to assure legal compliance with regulatory guidelines and administers regular compliance audits and investigates/resolves complex compliance issues. This person will be regularly dealing with roughly 4-5 people from the digital solutions, finance and marketing teams over the course of a normal day

  • Meetings to review status and planned work
  • Reviewing legal agreements (purchase of product/service agreements) and transfer data to the online database (FIT)
  • Develop organizational system for contracts to ensure continued organized process once project complete
  • Review current process with team to determine if improvements can be made to increase efficiency
  • Develops and maintains an organized, methodical documentation system for communicating, implementing, and managing new and existing regulatory requirements.
  • Establishes and administers a process for receiving, documenting, tracking, investigating, and acting on complaints concerning privacy policies and fraud concerns.
  • Organizes and maintains files of contracts, records, and correspondence.
  • Assist in in the development of contracts and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Develop, implement, coordinate, and monitor a fraud and abuse compliance program.
  • Help review historical customer contracts (legal docs), searching for key data and information (i.e., start date, end, date, price, etc.) and then update a database with that key data and information.

 

Qualifications for this Compliance Specialist position:

  • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
  • Knowledge of legal policies and procedures related to hiring practices (i.e., equal employment opportunity and affirmative action)
  • Knowledge of benefit and pay-scale systems.
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience required.
  • 0-2 years customer service-related experience required
