Responsibilities for the Compounder position include:

  • Manufacturing of bulk product (liquid and powder formulations) which are formulated to finished goods.
  • Input data into on-line computer system, Sample batches and enter test results into the on-line computer system
  • Strict adherence to FDA regulations, as well as, internal procedures is critical
  • Weigh and measure various raw materials used to make batches
  • Operate equipment used to process ingredients in both manual and automatic fashion
  • Complete documentation for all processing, weighing and cleaning operations
  • Perform cleaning and sanitizing of process vessels, utensils, equipment and keep work area clean
  • Sample and test in-process and finished products. Enter results into computer system
  • Understand and comply with all pertinent SOPs and GMP guidelines
  • Perform all activities in a safe and healthful manner
  • Conduct inventories of raw materials and products
  • Ability to wear respiratory protection to perform specific tasks
  • Ability to operate electric pallet jack (forklift) to move materials
  • Participate in site Operational Excellence activities
  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Minimum 1-3 years recent/consistent experience as a Compounder, Dispensary Technician, or equivalent Compounder experience
  • Ability to lift 50lbs independently
  • Able to read, understand and apply information from SOPs, batch sheets, etc.
  • Confident in the use of basic math calculations, percentages, fractions and decimal notation
  • Familiar with different measurement schemes, e.g. kilograms vs. pounds; fluid ounces vs. liters
  • Able to effectively communicate with supervisor, co-workers, Quality, Packaging and other departments
  • Available to work overtime is required
  • Flexibility regarding shift assignment
  • Demonstrated Computer Skills (Data Entry, E-Mail, File Access, MicroSoft Office and Excel)
  • Must follow cGMP's and SOP's.
  • Must have the ability to stand, bend and walk for long periods of time
There are three shifts available: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Pay for this position is $15-$16.50 an hour. This position is NOT busline accessible.
