Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Compounder position in Memphis, TN.  This is a temp-to-perm opportunity. Apply Now if you meet the qualifications listed below!

 

Responsibilities for this Compounder position include:

  • Operation of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment to process ingredients to produce dried and milled product
  •  Perform basic mathematical computation, read, follow, and document adherence to detailed instructions
  •  Operate forklift and pallet jack
  • Operate pharmaceutical machinery and equipment (including but not limited to; controls and valves, scales, machines, and blenders)
  • Ability to work without direct supervision and closely adhere to instructions (High level of dependability and integrity required.)
  •  Additional duties as assigned may include cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, assisting with Cleaning and Sanitizing procedures that include using ~180°F process water Move and lift heavy materials (up to 50lbs independently, and 100 lbs with assistance), climb, bend, scrap for cleaning of the of the blender, maneuver all work areas
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including coverall suit, hood, gloves, steel-toed shoes and full face respirator
  • Motivated to trouble shoot issues in a timely manner to ensure adherence to production demands and demonstrate flexibility regarding scheduling and changing production needs (including weekend work and overtime 12 hour shifts)
  • Attention to detail to ensure batch right first time and appropriate analytical problem-solving skills to be deployed in the event of an excursion or non-conformance

 Education and Skills for Requirement:

  • Minimum Years of Education: High School Diploma
  • 1 year recent/consistent experience as a Compounder or equivalent Compounder experience.
  • Excellence reading, math and communication skills; Able to read, understand & apply information from 
  • Confident in the use of basic math calculations, percentages, fractions and decimal notation.
  • Familiar with different measurement schemes, e.g. kilograms vs. pounds; Fluid vs. liters.
  • Able to effectively communicate with supervisor, co-workers, Quality, Packaging and other departments. Ability to routinely lift 50 pounds.
  • 2nd shift- flexibility to work 12 hours days (including weekends) on all shift and overtime if required.
