Adecco is assisting our Commercial Construction Client in Lewiston, ME with hiring a Construction Site Foreman.

 

This is a Direct Hire Salaried Position.  $1200 to $1500 per week

This Construction Site Foreman position provides leadership and supervision to the crew members and ensures their safety, following OSHA guidelines, by performing the following duties.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

  1. Coordinates the crew and understands and consistently applies the general foreman's policies.

 

  1. Plans and schedules.

 

  1. Responsible for productivity of crew members and quality control.

 

  1. Acts as key participant in the relationship with the company, other contractors, and the client.

 

  1. Performs at the second management level and as a coordinating manager and client interface.

 

  1. Ensures that vehicle and equipment checks are completed on time

 

  1. Responsible to be involved with and supportive of any day to day disciplinary decisions.

 

  1. Assigns crew tasks.

 

  1. Maintains work standards and outlines behavioral expectations to ensure crew morale and productivity

 

  1. Applies the principles of workplace respect on-site.*

 

  1. Ensures crew compliance with project/company policies and procedures

 

  1. Promotes, supports, and facilitates teamwork and harmony between all crew members by promoting and fostering a positive, visible teamwork attitude.

 

  1. Ensures that the completed work meets quality standards

 

  1. Oversees the execution of the work including quality and production, ensuring that the crew works to job specifications.

 

  1. Prepares reports and daily production records

 

  1. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of Laborer, Heavy Equipment Operator, and Truck Driver Departments.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  1. Experience as a Construction Site Foreman to include Earthwork

 

  1. Minimum of High School Diploma or GED

 

  1. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

  1. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

  1. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

  1. OSHA 10 Certified

 

  1. Valid driver's license

 

  1. Ability to perform and understand layout with or without G.P.S.

 

  1. Ability to lift and regularly move up to 70lbs
