Our client, who is one of the world’s largest testing and assessment organizations, is seeking a Contracts Manager to draft and manage all process phases of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), RFQs, and RFIs, and negotiate and administer contracts of varying degrees of complexity for the acquisition of goods and services of various services. Excellent contract writing and negotiating skills are necessary.



  • Reviews and analyzes supplier-prepared documents, if presented, i. e. contracts, leases, software licenses, specifications, statements of work, and other such documents; proposes and negotiates changes; drafts amendments, modifications, and addenda; and alerts responsible parties to potential problems, liabilities, or unusual terms.
  • Reviews all transactions in their earliest stages to ensure compliance with client’s technology security, personal information security and credit card usage security as applicable.
  • Maintains continual focus on achieving cost reductions/savings/avoidances consistent with department objectives.
  • Maintains current knowledge of market conditions (especially relating to technology related services and commodities)
  • Advise management and influence procurement decisions; researches trade and business publications and news journals; becomes familiar with the end use of assigned services or commodities and how to contractually protect the client when buying, leasing, or licensing that service or commodity.
  • Analyzes procurement requests based upon appropriateness, conformance with corporate policies and goals, quantity, specifications, and delivery requirements


Candidates should meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Five or more years of contract writing, negotiating, and managing experience within a procurement or supplier contract management organization
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is required. CPSM or CPM certification a plus.
  • Excellent contract writing and negotiating skills
  • Proficient use of most MS Office applications and document creation and management system (Ariba and e-RFX systems)
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft or comparable software.
  • Advanced business communication skills in both written and verbal form with an ability to write about technical subjects clearly and concisely
  • People skills: a team player, comfortable contributing and listening.
