Position Summary:

Responsible for the overall integrity of the financial performance of the Company which includes responsibility for the company's general ledger, annual budget process, and monthly forecast submissions. Heavy emphasis in financial reporting/analysis, balance sheet reserve establishments, coordination of GAAP and bank audits that occur on a quarterly and annual basis. Also responsible for managing the general accounting, financial planning and analysis staff.


Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Directs the month end closing process in coordination with general accounting and senior financial analyst staff - analyzes results, reviews monthly financial statements, communicates variances to plan to upper management, and offers corrective suggestions as needed.

2. Coordinates the development and review of the annual budget package.

3. Coordinates the development and review of the monthly forecast package and identifies variances in sales and margins.

4. Manages a professional staff of Accounting Analysts and Senior Financial Analysts.

5. Conducts balance sheet review and reserve establishments, including the creation of financial models and data extractions from ERP systems (Baan & JDE).

6. Directs the Finance Department in the yearly GAAP audit (and intermin review) conducted by external auditors, including: development of an audit plan, data gathering, ad-hoc schedule(s) development, subsequent analysis testing and development, and business analysis/comment to external auditor team.

7. Directs the Finance Department in quarterly bank audits conducted by the Company's lending institution. 8. Establishes accounting policies of internal control in accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.

9. Assists the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Accounting Officer in various projects and analysis.

10. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company's vision, mission, and values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and suppliers.

11. Complies with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Skills and Experience Requirements:

1. Bachelors degree in finance or accounting.

2. Minimum of eight years accounting experience.

3. Strong leadership and managerial skills.

4. Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

5. Strong PC skills with emphasis in Excel, Word, Access, and Lotus Notes.

6. A working knowledge of ERP, preferably in Baan and JD Edwards.

7. Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
