Coordinator II

Adecco is currently assisting our client, the World’s Largest Search Engine, in their search for a Coordinator II! This is a 12-month contract opportunity based in Oakland, CA.


In this position you will be working with our Client’s program. This program is on a mission to build social capital in Black and Latino neighborhoods by developing culturally engaging and community-centric tech innovation experiences for youth. We are seeking a Site Coordinator to help with operational support in our student maker labs in Oakland. You will work closely with the Community Manager and Instructors to maintain the lab, order supplies and catering, coordinate events, manage data collection, and other tasks that will ensure quality programming and site maintenance. Site Coordinator must be able to work weekends and some evenings.


Overall Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparing documentation for student attendance, registration, and waivers

  • Coordinate with Real Estate & Workplace Services (REWS), Network Operations (NetOps), Technical -Support (TechStop), and Audio Visual (AV) teams for various setup, delivery and construction tasks

  • Lab cleanup/organization & arranging for facilities.Transport materials to lab if necessary Lab Management -Lab maintenance; Ensure all lab equipment is functioning.

  • Event Coordination -Help/assist with all student, parent and community focused events. Help plan and set-up events (e.g. maintain RSVP's, volunteer recruitment, etc)

  • Assist with all event documentation, including budgets, contracts, negotiations and notes/memos on other important interactions

Top 3 daily Responsibilities:

  • Site Coordination

  • Assist with maintaining the calendars for program and event dates/times

  • Scheduling site visits and tours




  • Bachelor's degree; Minimum 3+ years experience as a coordinator, in administrative support and/or an event coordinator; Fluent in Spanish

  • Passion for event-planning, coordination, and operational support

  • Skilled with Gmail and Google Drive (Google Docs, Google Sheets)



  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Familiarity with technical equipment and setup

  • Interest in computer science education programs, maker spaces, and working with a diverse demographic of HS students and parents
