This position will have the responsibility to oversee the execution of store maintenance and repairs, project rollouts, price negotiations with vendors, and support of for approximately 1,500+ retail stores. Will communicate regularly with vendors and store management; ensuring safe, secure, and environmentally sound operations and maintenance of our stores.  

Responsibilities for the Coordinator, Store Facilities role include but are not limited to: 

  • Executes the Facilities and Maintenance actions to ensure a clean, cool, bright, and safe environment for Chico's FAS Associates and Guests to successfully interact. Serves as a liaison between vendors and Operations, Store staff, Construction, Legal, Risk Management, and Finance to ensure service levels are met and services are provided as scheduled/defined. 
  • Assists with the development of Facilities and Maintenance procedures and communications in conjunction with Construction, Planning, Brand Operations and Store Communications Teams. Assists with miscellaneous projects, rollouts, Management requests, special events, etc.
  • Responsible for daily work orders, task prioritization, and resource planning to process outstanding issues (i.e. HVAC, electrical, plumbing, general maintenance repairs, environmental issues, furniture/fixtures/equipment, etc.). Escalates critical issues appropriately. Tracks and records project deliverables and other tasks as requested, adhering to Facilities Maintenance and company standards and processes.
  • Ensures all Facilities and Maintenance issues are completed in a timely manner, within budget, high degree of cost effectiveness, and of highest quality to support the store operations. Ensures locations are repaired according to site design and Chico's FAS, Inc.'s specifications.
  • Manages the workflow of monthly preventive maintenance scheduling including timing and assignment and tracks accordingly.
  • Assists in adhering to Facilities budgets ($13M+- annually) and maintaining regular documentation thereof (Capital versus Expense items). 
  • Maintains successful relationships with Store Construction & Planning teams, Real Estate, Legal, Risk Management, Corporate Departments, Brand Operations, Regional and Store Associates. 
  • Works with software service vendor (currently ServiceChannel) to ensure appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are maintained for service issues, aged items, and unexpected emergencies. Helps maintains database including new store set up, relocations, and closures. Uses aggregate reporting to better determine root cause issues/trends, better manage maintenance schedules, and increase process improvement/cost saving initiatives. Aids in creating, editing, and modifying reports in the work order management system. 
  • Supports Facilities Manager with competitive bid projects (RFP's) for contracted and break-and-fix services. 
  • Assists with the development of departmental and company process improvements.
  • Works directly with the Purchasing team to ensure materials required are ordered in a timely and efficient manner to facilitate projects/repairs. Forecasts maintenance required parts for blanket orders.  
  • Administers Disaster Preparedness actions for stores (sandbagging, awning removal, local authority mandates, etc.). Oversee pre-event preparation and post event restoration of all emergencies. When possible, remains on-call for Facilities team, Senior Management, and vendors to provide action in time of emergency. 


Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for the Coordinator, Store Facilities role:  

  • 3+ years' experience in retail Facilities/Construction project management or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of facilities and/or construction. 
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Preferred - Web-based database Facilities Management Software (CMMS), and ServiceChannel software experience is a plus.
  • Preferred - Multi-site national corporate retailer experience.
  • Preferred - Ability to understand and prepare budgets read and interprets documents such as construction drawings, bids, and leases.
