Crane Technician

Position Summary:
The Crane Technician is responsible for the layout, fabrication, building and installation of overhead crane systems in manufacturing settings. Our client operates in the NE Ohio and Western PA areas and custom builds overhead cranes to customer specifications. Strong mechanical and electrical skills (up to 480V 3-phase) are required. Experience welding, reading blueprints and troubleshooting are needed. Applicants should be comfortable working at heights using a scissor lift or other lifting device.

Primary Responsibilities:

Building, fabricating and installation of overhead crane systems
Mechanical skills to install, troubleshoot and repair motors, pumps & valves
Electrical skills – 480V 3-phase – to wire in and troubleshoot electrical systems
Welding (Mig and/or Stick) skills preferred
Operation of a company box truck and trailer (Class A CDL Required – or willing to obtain)


Qualifications:

High School Diploma (or equivalent)
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in an electro-mechanical position
Strong Mechanical and Electrical Skills
Ability to work at heights of 30 feet
Class A CDL license (have or willing to get)
Must have a clean driving background and be able to pass drug and background screenings


This is a full-time position with work hours of Monday-Friday of 8am to 4:30pm. Our client offers paid vacation (after 1st year), medical benefits and paid holidays. Pay is based on experience.
