Customer Service Dispatcher

Adecco is currently working with a local client to fill full time Customer Service Representative Positions in Gainesville, GA. This is a Temporary position in a call center environment with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts available! The position will start on October 15, 2018. Apply now if you meet the qualifications below! 

Job Summary:     

Seasonal, temporary position that will be trained to successfully route, dispatch and track truck drivers on seasonal shipments for a high-level customer by phone and computer in an efficient and expedient manner. Performs well defined transportation tasks under immediate structured supervision. Will be required to collaborate with a team of highly experienced staff and will provide quality high-level of service.

Will attend and successfully complete an in-depth training period prior to the start of the seasonal project. Will be assigned a specific shift and task(s) to perform during the assigned shift.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Answers phone calls and places outbound phone calls to truck drivers, to dispatch drivers, track shipment status, and reply to emails as directed.
  • Sets drivers up on tracking websites, to provide constant location updates.
  • Ensures drivers follow all requirements and guidelines set forth by the client and the customer.
  • Communicates directly with customer to report arrivals and departures and provide required information to the specific shipment.
  • Uses constant situational awareness, to proactively find problems and issues before they happen, and escalates those problems and issues to their direct supervisor or lead.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

 

Skills/Experience:

  • Intermediate computer skills (i.e., Ability to navigate web sites, typing proficiency)
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, with dispatchers, truck drivers, and co-workers, including clarity of thought and explanation, as some will not use English as their first language.
  • General knowledge of the highway systems, major cities and all states.
  • Self-motivated personality with exceptional attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to perform job duties with a high sense of urgency in task completion
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high call volume environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and flexible to adapt to change.
  • Willing to work non-traditional schedule which may include off shifts and/or weekends.

 

Education/Training/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED, minimum
  • At least 1 year of experience in a related field or prior experience preferred 

 

Shifts/Rates:

  • 1st shift- 7:00AM-3:00PM Sunday-Thursday; $13.00/hr. 
  • 1st shift 7:00AM-3:00PM Tuesday-Saturday; $13.00/hr.
  • 2nd Shift 3:00PM-11:00PM Sunday-Thursday; $13.50/hr.
  • 2nd Shift 3:00PM-11:00PM Sunday- Thursday; $13.50/hr.
  • 3rd Shift 11:00PM-7:00AM Sunday- Thursday; $14.00/hr.
  • 3rd Shift 11:00PM-7:00AM Saturday- Thursday; $14.00/hr.
