Customer Service Manager

A local candy factory is looking for a strong customer service manager for their Merrillville, Indiana location.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee, design and report on individual and departmental performance metrics for continuous improvement
  • Regularly monitor calls for quality and customer satisfaction
  • Challenges team members in providing excellent support to both external and internal customers
  • Identify and implement process improvements to help promote productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, and morale
  • Focuses on helping team members improve their skills and knowledge through day-to-day coaching
  • Makes effective, independent decisions representing day-to-day issues that do not require team discussion, input or agreement
  • Be the voice of the customers in all internal ACG meetings and discussions
  • Assist ACG sales force with inventory data and production schedules as requested
  • Set up pricing through our ERP system.
  • Ensures effective training program is in place, which includes written documentation of competencies necessary to be successful at the job, industry knowledge required for the job, and any outside material or training courses for success
  • Develop team goals, action plans, and timelines
  • Comply with all Quality, HACCP, GMP and Food Safety standards
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Oversee claims department

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Excellent interpersonal skills – working with prospective customers
  • Hard worker who is a self-starter and proactive
  • Excellent follow up skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have impeccable organizational skills and be detailed oriented
  • Strong knowledge of candy industry and candy distribution.
  • Strong knowledge of Albanese products and internal operations.
  • Must have proficiency in business math
  • Must have proficiency with forecasting using excel.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in ERP System and Microsoft Office software

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in customer service and telemarketing sales, confectionery preferred. 

EDUCATION     

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • High School Diploma is required
