Customer Service - Manufacturing

BRIEF SUMMARY OF ROLE


This role is responsible for providing customer service and logistics support to existing and potential customers as well as Sales Reps. and interact with all departments within the company and facilities.


MAIN FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Process purchase orders; order entry and review for accurate data,

correct billing, shipping addresses, proper quality documents, pricing, etc.

Respond to customer’s inquiries regarding status of orders, product selection and placement of orders.

Analyze individual solutions and take appropriate action to ensure that customer needs are met.
When required gather information regarding pricing, costs, account status, shipment history, etc.


KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

College degree preferred or Associate degree.

Three plus years’ experience in customer service in a manufacturing setting is required.
Must have strong keyboard and data entry skills.
Strong MS Office skills required, especially excel and outlook.
General office skills required (scan, print, file)
Must have good communication skills – verbal and written.

Intermediate computer skills including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
Must be able to manage difficult or emotional customer situations.
Must work with urgency and respond quickly to customer needs.
