POSITION: Customer Service Representative
LOCATION: Port ST. Lucie, FL
DURATION: 3 month
PAY: 10 - 15/hr

Position Summary
The Health Services Coordinator is a member of the BPS Patient Access Services team. This position provides support to our customers and their health service providers/facilities located throughout the United States. Services provided to our customers include, but are not limited to: Education regarding targeted medical procedures to patients; Coordination of patient appointments and procedures; Communication with Patients, Providers and Facilities; Obtaining patient consent and approvals; and Timely and Accurate documentation and Follow Up. The Health Services Coordinator assists and guides patients through a multi-step process established for specific medical procedures. Success is measured in terms of adherence to strict guidelines, meeting fixed deadlines, satisfied customers, meeting or exceeding quality measures, producing consistent and high quality work and collaboration with other care team members in order to achieve objectives.

The Health Services Coordinator 2 is able to take documented procedures and follow them through from start to finish and also recognize when there is deviation from a standard process. Routine work is completed with general instructions, new assignments given with detailed instructions. This person will provide coordination services to patients, deploying best practices and standard workflow in their daily activities. The Health Services Coordinator 2 may provide guidance to less experienced staff members.

Health Services Coordinator Essential Responsibilities:
• Secure patient commitment to proceed with procedures
• Education/Advise patients on process/next steps
• Assist patient with paperwork completion if needed
• Accurately Maintain documentation and logs
• Coordinate Patient/Provider/Surgeon/Procedure Appointments
• Perform telephonic coordination of services including – appointments for doctor visits and procedures, reminders
• Encourage and support patient
• Demonstrate superior customer service skills
• Work closely together and coordinate with physician office staff, patients and their families, caregivers, to ensure a fully integrated process that addresses all the patients needs
• Advocate for the patient
• Actively problem solve with care team to find solutions to patient issues
• Maintain patient confidentiality per policies and procedures
• Communication with patients, providers and provider office staff in a courteous, professional, cooperative and mature manner
• May provide guidance to less experiences staff members

Care Management Administrative Responsibilities
• Maintain up to date patient and care team documentation in assigned tool(s)
• Scheduling and maintenance of patient centered follow up tasks
• Effective and ongoing telephonic and in-person communication with care team members, patients and management
• Timely follow up on action items
• Engagement in care team meetings and discussions
• May provide guidance to less experienced staff members

Administrative Responsibilties
• Time entry in assigned tool(s) as required by management
• Timely response to email, IM and voice mail as required by management
• Active engagement in team meetings, discussions and in-services
• Participate in business unit and/or team projects and quality initiatives
• Foster effective work relationships and team collaboration
• Stay up to date on training and knowledge as it relates to application(s), policies and procedures, industry regulations and trends, and Change Healthcare assigned compliance training
• Perform add-on services and tasks as required by the business and our business partners

Work schedule
Must be flexible and have availability to work 8 hour shifts between the hours of 8:00am-8:00pm, M-F.
