POSITION:Data Analyst
DURATION: 18 months contract, W-2

Job Description:
The Data Analyst will work in the Regional Business Solutions Customer Analytics area. The role has responsibility to partner with Business and Technical teams to build, implement, maintain, and use leading Point of Sale (POS) analytic solutions. This area is in an ongoing stage of transition between legacy solutions and next generation, so success depends on this person being energized in learning how things are currently done and helping to define how it will be done with our next generation technology. Knowledge of Consumer Packaged Goods industry across a diversity of business areas (Sales, Category Management, Product Supply, Customer Service, Financial, Promotion, and Retail Sales) and Point of Sale Analytics is strongly desired, as it will increase your being effective and successful in this role from day one.

This position requires a strong ability in the fundamentals of data warehousing and analytics. Key roles for this position will be to determine how to source, move, and transform data to meet the needs of analytic solutions, analysis and design for issue resolution, and quality assurance for all team efforts.

Understanding the significance of how the business gains actionable insights through the data is important to enable successful data analysis and process designs. With Nestle’s One Team philosophy it is important for this person to expect a variety of assignments in terms of Business Analysis, Data Analysis, and Quality Assurance for new enhancements and supporting our current analytic solutions (including at the Database and Reporting layers).

Primary Responsibilities
• Facilitate requirements gathering with key business and IT stakeholders by using excellent inquiry and communication skills
• Translate business requirements into meaningful business specifications and process designs for analytic solutions
• Provide business and data analysis to determine trends, exceptions, proactive alerts, etc. and make recommendations for the enhancement, correction, and/or development of Nestle Analytic applications
• Provide technical requirements and recommendations for Testing processes (Automated and Manual) as well as providing testing support of application enhancements and bug fixes
• Provide business/technical leadership within our project teams as a subject matter expert and conduct/participate in business requirement, technical design, and code reviews
• Identify indicators of potential problems/issues, perform root cause analysis, and alert business community or technical team with recommended courses of action
• Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and strengthen working relationships


3+ years of Data Analysis and warehousing
Advanced Excel and SQL Skills are required
Azure / Azure Data Factory (required - entry level)
Experience with Business Intelligence applications, environments and data tools (current and future needs includes:
SAP (desired)
Oracle (desired - mid level)
SQLServer (desired - mid level)
SSIS / SSAS (desired - mid level)
SQL / U-SQL (required - mid level)
Business Objects (desired - mid level)
Excel Pivot (required - mid level)
Power BI (desired - mid level)
3rd Party tools experience desired (i.e. RSi, Shiloh)
Must display a sense of urgency
Must be able to demonstrate leadership and initiative
Must have a high level of Customer Service Orientation
Clearly communicate both orally and in writing, business/technology concepts across all levels of the organization.
