Position Summary:

The Data Analyst is responsible for gathering data from various systems and resources and developing POU tools, KPI reporting, and summary reports for management.  Data sources include Business Objects, Oracle EBS, and Microsoft Excel.  Incumbent is responsible for insuring data accuracy through continuous audits and analysis. 


Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

  • Work Cross Functionally to identify data and reporting needs as well as source data.
  • Create reports in Excel, Business Objects, and Domo to support business execution and KPI reporting.
  • Analyze data to find opportunities including excess inventory, supply shortages, and forecast coverage.
  • Take initiative to develop and propose new processes to strengthen data accuracy or enhance efficiency, including the creation of new reports, improving existing reports, and presenting new ways of interpreting data
  • Create layers of automation into data reporting to eliminate manual updating and greatly reduce report generation process time
  • Learn business processes of Sales Operations and Materials Planning to identify opportunities to increase efficiency



Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel a must including spread sheet creation, editing and exporting to other applications utilizing macros and pivot tables. 
  • Detail Oriented and possesses the ability to work with large amounts of data and analyze/manipulate into understandable summaries.
  • Thorough understanding of Oracle, Business Objects Reporting, and Web based applications knowledge a plus.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Identify trends and conclusions from data analysis and clearly communicate those findings


Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics or closely related field
  • 1-2 years experience analyzing data for business related functions
  • Broad scope of experience in inventory management; production/material control and/or scheduling including extensive use of computer data bases and systems.


Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

  • Primarily office environment.
  • Ability to work extended hours as necessary.
  • Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
