Adecco is urgently seeking a Data Analyst to support a global medical technology company and their Global Supply Chain team. This is a 3 month contract position located in Wayne, NJ.

The Data Analyst works within the Global Supply Chain Team working with multiple departments including: Quality, Operations, and Sales to analyze data sets using quantitative methods to understand, predict, enhance and make recommendations on processes and decisions. This individual is responsible for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing data-driven recommendations that support Supply Chain planning and operations. This individual will identify, gather and analyze Key Performance Indicator's (KPI's) and make recommendations for areas of improvement and enhance the reporting capabilities of the department. This individual will work to automate areas of reporting and data gathering so better decision-making will be possible across the Supply Chain department.

Job Functions:
• Work with Demand planners and Supply planners to formulate and implement Supply Planning strategy for assigned product lines
• Work with various stakeholders to critical objectives, drivers and desired outcomes that are critical to business
• Work closely with IT to develop solutions for optimizing data gathering and management
• Create a unified database from different data sources, which will be required for analyzing and reporting information to enable decision making for Sales & Operations Planning
• Prepare data for inventory reporting and supply planning in SQL through the use of established processes
• Develop consistent and repeatable processes for the extraction of data and computation of Global KPIs and other reports as required.
• Create models to make recommendations for optimizing inventory
• Perform mid to long term demand and capacity analytics
• Monitor inventory performance, highlight trends and analyze anomalies to identify root causation
• Develop scenarios and what-if analysis to identify key improvement areas for Sales & Operations Planning
• Prepare for and support execution of Supply Review Meetings
• Ensure that global daily, weekly and monthly reports are published at agreed upon times.

Required Skills and Abilities:
• 1+ years of recent SQL experience creating medium to complex SQL queries is a plus!
• 2+ years of recent experience performing data modeling
• Skilled at drawing a conclusion from the data utilizing pivot tables, linear regression, statistical methods, or trend charting.
• Proficient at communicating conclusions to leadership in clear and concise manner (graphs, charts, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of SAP and/or Business Objects or other data warehousing tools a significant plus.

Experience and Education Requirements:
• BS/BA degree in Logistics, Operations, Statistics, Finance or other related field.
• Able to obtain and filter data from databases (Oracle, Access, Excel, etc) utilizing SQL, Excel logic, Access logic/visual basic. Capable of organizing data in a logical manner
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a business function requiring mathematical/ statistical analysis.

Pay Rate: $38.95 per hour
