POSITION: Data Entry Clerk III
LOCATION: Lewiston, ME
DURATION: 3 months (contract)
HOURS: Mon - Fri 8:00am- 4:30pm
Pay Rate: 16.50 per hour


Summary: The main function of a data entry specialist is to operate data entry devices, such as a keyboard or computer, to verify and input data. A typical data entry specialist is responsible for accurate information documentation and personal project management. Technical skills include documentation skills and time management.

Job Responsibilities:
• Review and approve source documents such as canceled checks, sales reports, or bills, and enter data in specific data fields or onto tapes or disks for subsequent entry, using keyboards or scanners.
• Review and correct data entry errors submitted by staff.
• Approve and audit data with source documents.
• Review and audit logs of activities and completed work.

Must be able to multitask and attention to detail is a must! They will be posting monetary transactions provided to them from other business lines daily and processing customer live checks directly to their loans. They will be working with excel and PDF looking at check copies, they will be inputting data for posting processing, if completed the rest of the day is filled with POD write-ups (payment write-ups), also responsible for team send backs (checks that team were unable to process, create a letter that needs to be signed off on to send to the customer stating why check needs to be returned), also responsible for miscellaneous scanning documentation back up for the team (during down time)

• Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
• Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information.
• Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
• Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

Must haves
• Multi-tasking is a must (priorities shift often and sudden)
• Ability to adjust to changing atmosphere
• Excel (intermediate)- must be able to use functions for spreadsheets
• Attention to detail
• Microsoft office
• Data entry experience - at least 1 year

• Banking experience
• Loan/accounting experience (will help with split payments)

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5-7 years related experience require
