Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:15am - 4pm
Duration: 6 months
Payrate: $15.00 per hour

This position will support the Marketing Support teams. The ideal candidate should have analytical skills and be details oriented. This team supports flood operations from marketing/agency perspective. We handle and review the legally binding contracts that are submitted to setup new clients with Assurant. We manage and maintain those customer accounts as well as their users. We currently work contracts and projects that support 4 different flood insurance products. The workload is very high and challenging so an individual with simple data entry background doesn’t usually fit our skillset. There may be need to call/email these clients as well so I prefer someone who is well written and well spoken.

The Data Specialist is responsible for core processes for their respective team. This is principally accomplished through job shadowing and on-going training. Daily workload is typically generated through team processing of incoming mail receiving or placing telephone calls, express delivery, on-line applications; fax and other electronic methods (e-mail) are also possible means of communication. In depth knowledge and use of computerized system is needed for gathering and processing information on the customer. The Data Specialist must be able to respond to requests in a timely manner.

Most of these activities follow standard procedures and policies with more senior levels using greater latitude and judgment in responding to customers.

• Prepares and reviews contracts for new client setups and new user setups.
• Reviews agency inquiries and documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Responsible for data entry and processing standard Marketing Support by following standard screens and procedures to perform tasks.
• Corrects system errors.
• Resolves routine questions and problems, refers more difficult to higher levels.
• Completes team’s administrative support duties.
• Follows standard procedures and guidelines
