We are seeking a Data Entry Clerk for our client's HRIS department in Dallas, TX:

Summary

Enters data into HR systems by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions

• HR Data Entry Clerk, enter data into HRIS.
• Strong Attention to Detail with the ability to format the job descriptions so they present well on our job boards.
• Reporting - Tracking job codes, job descriptions / tracking what is missing.
• Communicate via e-mail and phone with managers/supervisors in the organization.
• Should be familiar with software systems and have understanding of running basic reports.
• Maintains received data and source documents.
• Prepares and sorts source documents, and identifies and interprets data to be entered.
• Contacts preparers of source documents to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data.
• Enters alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents into computer following format displayed on screen, and enters necessary codes.
• Compares data entered with source documents, or reenters data in verification format on screen, or runs reports comparisons to detect errors.
• Makes necessary corrections to information entered.
• Compiles, sorts, and verifies accuracy of data to be entered.
• Keeps record of work completed.
• Ensures data entry complies with audit directives.
• Reviews error reports and enters corrections into system.
• Transmits entered information into database.
• Files or routes source documents after entry.
• Responds or routes inquiries regarding entered data.
• Additional duties as required.


Skills, Education, Experience, and Knowledge

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR field required
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of Human Resource systems; Payroll systems (ADP EV5); Spreadsheet software (MS Excel) and Word Processing software.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, and regression analysis).
• • Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
• Must demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced, dead-line driven environment.
• Requires strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Requires strong ability to recognize grammatical errors
• Prioritization, time management, and organizational skills required.
• Ability to problem-solve.
• Critical thinking.
• Ability to learn quickly.
