Responsibilities:

This Scenario Projection Modeler role is within the Quantitative Strategies Projections Modeling team. The primary responsibility is to develop econometric scenario projection models based on macro-economic relationship between financial variables (such as Interest Rates, Credit Spreads, or Foreign Exchange Rates) and macroeconomic variables (such as GDP growth or the Unemployment Rate). These models are used for both business planning and stress testing across the globe (e.g., CCAR, LPA, ICAAP).

The Data Modeler will be responsible for:

  • Developing scenario projection models in partnership with subject matter experts
  • Documenting scenario projection methodologies in alignment with the company’s Model Risk Management policies
  • Using R programming language to implement scenario projection models in an internal system
  • Interacting with Model Risk Management team to support their independent review and validation of scenario projection models
  • Socializing and reviewing models and output with stakeholders, including subject matter experts and senior management

Experience/Education Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in statistical or time series analysis
  • Experience with R – primarily for Model Development work, Running Templates and Implementation.
  • Must have experience utilizing R Libraries - Testing Models and Generating Docs.
  • Candidate must have experience/knowledge of GDP Gross rates, FX Exchange rates – preparing model documents.
  • Understanding of financial markets and variables.
  • Stress testing is a plus.
