Responsibilities for the Department Assistant job include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate routine matters, conference calls, meetings, travel and various other assignments.
  • Process invoices and maintain records for budget tracking.
  • Maintain schedules and calendars.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and packages for the department.
  • Answer incoming phone calls for the department.

Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for the Department Assistant job:

  • 1 year in a secretarial / administrative support role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel).
  • The ability to handle routine task and resolve issues independently.
  • Detail Oriented.
