Adecco Staffing is assisting a large grocery company find a qualified Department Assistant for their Downtown Cincinnati, Ohio location.


The Department Assistant will provide daily administrative support and problem-solving assistance to management and/or staff.


Essential Functions:

  • Answer incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain schedules and calendars
  • Coordinate routine matters, conference calls, meetings, travel and various other assignments
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and packages
  • Provide back-up support to other administrative support
  • Process invoices and maintain records for budget tracking
  • Track departmental expenses and maintain expense records
  • Run and distribute reports as needed
  • Maintain department time (i.e. vacation, schedules and other PTO)
  • Maintain department compliance on initiatives as appropriate
  • Assist in the coordination of department activities as needed


Education/Skillset Requirements:

  • Strong written and oral communication
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced work environment and a willingness to help all members of the team
  • Ability to recognize and set priorities
  • Must be organized and detail oriented
  • Able to handle routine tasks and resolve issues with a high level of independence and initiative
  • Able to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately



Desired Education/Experience:

  • Corporate office administrative assistant experience
