POSITION: Department Assistant
LOCATION: Cincinnati, OH
Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 6 months – Possible Temp to Perm!!
Pay Rate: $15.50 per hour
Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm


The biggest part of this job is to proof the ads that are going out; each ad is proofed 3 times eachs. At any given time, you could be working on 4/5 ads, so you have to be organized to do well.
You also have to pay close attention to detail because once the ASP’s are given the items to go in the ad, you will enter that information into several different applications, so if you do one wrong, it will show up wrong on the ad.
Each ad is proofed three times, so the mistake is more than likely going to be caught one of those times, but there is very high stress to make as LITTLE comments as possible when proofing.
This position assists the divisions managers, so there are other smaller jobs and projects that are given to be done as well, such as updating contracts, filling out display plans, etc.
Work sclosely with advertising, so you have to have a positive attitude to work here because there are times when everyone is stressed, but you still have to keep a good working relationship with everyone.
You have to be patient, multitask, able to work in a fast paced environment, and be open minded. We are not data entry people, this is not a good job for someone who wants to do that, we have to be able to see and understand where one mistake can affect multiple different aspects of the job.

Essential Functions:

*Maintain written correspondence to divisions on promo plan, including updates as necessary. *Create and maintain reports(daily, monthly and quarterly) *Communicate promotional plan with Divisions, Regional Teams, Category Managers. *Provide support to Department Promo Planning Team. Provide back-up support to the department (as needed)

Education/Skillset Requirements:
*Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe *Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced work environment and a willingness to help all members of the team
*Flexibility to handle an ever changing scope of assignments and projects.
*Ability to recognize and set priorities.
*Must be organized and detail oriented
*Able to handle tasks and resolve issues with a high level of independence and initiative.
*Able to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
*Ability to communicate effectively.

Desired Education/Experience:*Corporate office administrative assistant experience
