Title: Deparment Support Specialist I

Location: District of Columbia 

Duration 1 year

Pay: 18.00$ an hour 


Job Description: 


Performs a variety of support functions to support the department. Handles multiple projects and may assist in complying data and generating reports. 



‐ Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent to 5 or more years of

relevant work and technical experience.

‐ Ability to analyze and interpret Engineering Drawings (Electrical, Wiring, Civil

and Structural).

‐ Knowledge and ability to apply problem‐solving approaches.

‐ Knowledge of operations or engineering principles and practices.

‐ Broad knowledge and experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes,

methods, and practices necessary to perform routine assignments for a specific

disciplines related to drafting and design projects.

‐ Proficient Computer Skills using Excel Spreadsheets and Word Documents.

‐ Knowledge of operating large scale scanners and plotters.

‐ Knowledge of working with or using Document Management Systems, Database or


‐ Valid driver’s license

‐ Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills

*** Although not required, Knowledge of CAD Software (AutoCAD or Microstation) is
