depositing Operator

RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Responsible for molding, depositing, de-molding and drying/curing in the manufacture of Gummi candy utilizing a state of the art computer automated machine – Mogul.
•    Inspects Depositing equipment and verifies operational status and cleanliness.
•    Set up, operate, adjust, clean, sanitize and shut down Depositing machine
•    Inspects and verifies moldboard printing impression quality and depositing candy depositing while making adjustments as necessary.
•    Observes de-molding of candy quality and identifies non-conforming material as necessary.
•    Verifies proper moldboard weight per a recipe and SOP
•    Observes starch level, cleanliness and moisture content in system and ensures adjustments are made as needed.
•    Keeps finished product in proper sequential order in drying rooms and checks to see that rooms are operating properly.
•    Assists in break out duties as required
•    Reviews production schedule each day with supervision to determine needed materials
•    Execute daily and weekly production schedules per the direction of supervision
•    Meet daily production goals and standards
•    Responsible for monitoring quality   
•    Comply with all company Quality, HACCP, GMP and Food Safety Standards 
•    Comply with all company safety policies and procedures
•    Complete required production documentation including lot tracking, testing logs, QA forms and production reports
•    Maintain a clean and safe work area and insure proper sanitation procedures are adhered to.
•    Perform Sanitation
•    Communicate with Lead and Supervisor as necessary
•    Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment
•    Identify and communicate problems and production issues in a timely manner
•    Interpret and adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures
•    Perform specialized tasks at the direction of Quality Control or Research and Development personnel
•    Other duties as assigned

•    Must have an attention to detail methodology
•    Must perform in a high volume, extremely fast paced environment and be accurate to perfection
•    Though reporting to a Gummi Supervisor, individual should be able to work independently upon task assignment
•    Must be able to work seamlessly with others on an in-line production team
•    Cross train into other production areas as required and defined by the Supervisor or Lead 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
•    Fork Lift Certification
•    Read, write and speak English
•    Basic computer skills to operate computer automated equipment
•    Basic math skills – add, subtract, multiply and divide
•    Read and interpret weight scales and tape measures
•    Excellent interpersonal skills – must be a team player
•    Must have an excellent work ethic and be a self-starter 
•    Good verbal and written communication skills
•    Ability to lift up to 75 pounds 
•    Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
•    Must be a quick learner with above average motor skills and the ability to think and react quickly under pressure, must be decisive.
•    HACCP and GMP training

EXPERIENCE
•    Basic knowledge or understanding of a manufacturing environment – direct manufacturing 
experience not necessary
•    Prior food manufacturing, compounding, blending, cooking and preparation experience is 
preferred, but not mandatory.

EDUCATION    
•    High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required
