Adecco is helping a well known non-profit organization in the heart of New York City in their search for a Development Writer/Proposal Writer. This is a temporary 3-4 month opportunity to help maintain relationships with top donors.   If you meet the following qualifications please Apply Today!


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


- Support the Senior Director of Development in the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of Fortune 500 Companies, individual and foundation partners.

- Prepare and present compelling proposals, stewardship documents and other reports. Liaise with donors and internal stakeholders to ensure that their needs/expectations are met in a timely and professional manner.

- Serve as a thought partner and fundraising strategist. Track and monitor team performance.

- Demonstrate good judgment and exhibit a strong, results oriented, work ethic. Possess superior time/project management skills and an exacting attention to detail.

- This role requires a candidate who can commit long hours, is able to multi-task and shift effortlessly between tasks on short notice.

- Professional ready to work with top tier corporate/foundation partners in a complex, fast-paced and results oriented work environment.
- Quickly compose, edit and personalize compelling presentation/proposals, reports, and concept papers for donors/[prospects and internal stakeholders
- Must be able to absorb and synthesize complex information, and quickly write, edit and design presentations that are simple, clear and compelling
- Prepare meeting briefs and donor call reports, personalize thank you letters, craft concise, executive oriented emails and prepare weekly/quarterly productivity reports among other related writing assignments
- Communicate directly with donors and ensure their complete satisfaction
- Enter all donor interactions into SalesForce and successfully navigate other internal systems to extract and analyze information
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects with varying deadlines. Must be comfortable working through ambiguity to complete projects independently
- Support other duties as assigned

Candidates must meet the followign qualifications in order to be considered:


- Bachelors Degree required

- Minimum of five or more years of experience working in a professional office setting for large-scale businesses/nonprofits. The candidate will preferably have a strong interest in a sales, development, client management and/or communications.
- Must be able to work comfortably with donors and internal colleagues often under pressure and time constraints. This role requires a candidate with focus, finesse and a positive, can-do, team-approach to their work.
- The ideal candidate will seek and accept direction, obtain clarity before taking action, complete their work promptly and resolve questions independently. The candidate will have superb writing and editing skills and pay close, consistent attention to detail in all facets of their work.

This is a temporary opportunity in New York City. Writing exercise will be required for applicable candidates.
