Digital and Social Media Manager

Adecco Creative is assisting our client, a global beauty company, in their search for a Digital and Social Media Manager. This is a permanent role based out of the client’s midtown Manhattan offices.

In this role, you will put your strategic digital communications, social media, website management and analytics skills to use as you develop engaging content, deploy and measure innovative digital communications campaigns for external audiences. The Digital and Social Media Manager will play a key role in Global Corporate Affairs and will help shape, promote and protect the corporate brand, business and reputation, supporting the company’s vision of becoming a leader and challenger in beauty.

The Digital and Social Media Manager will implement dynamic digital communications strategies and will lead the corporate website and social channels including but not limited to LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. This position requires a creative and highly-motivated individual with a passion for beauty.

Playing a key role in building the company’s corporate reputation, the Digital and Social Media Manager will also have the opportunity to work closely on other aspects of corporate communications, such as media engagement, corporate announcements and corporate asset development. Qualified candidates must have a desire and willingness to learn other aspects of corporate and external communications.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing, executing and measuring dynamic digital communications strategies that support business priorities and culture.
  • Writing and editing content for digital channels, identifying which channels to employ for each campaign, telling stories in a clear, concise and engaging manner.
  • Serving as a trusted advisor and working in partnership with other communications team members to develop editorial calendar and align channels in support of broader business priorities.
  • Leading the continuous development of the company’s new corporate website and working with external agency and internal stakeholders to ensure projects meet the required specifications and strategic objectives and are completed on time and on budget. This includes, but is not limited to, daily updates and content posting, functionality, careers section update, country localizations, as well as developing a user guide.
  • Developing digital metrics to measure the effectiveness of the website and social campaigns and reporting on performance against strategic objectives.
  • Maintaining brand strength and consistency across digital channels.
  • Managing budgets.

 

Skills/Qualifications

  • 5-7 years communications experience with at least 2-3 years of experience in digital and social media.
  • Strong and proven writing and content development skills (e.g. articles, infographics, audio/visual material for digital channels).
  • Solid project management skills, including 1-2 years in digital projects, and ability to coordinate diverse stakeholder needs and inputs.
  • Basic web development skills with knowledge of web standards - HTML/CSS/JS/PHP.
  • Experience managing content in Drupal content management system.
  • Proficient with graphics and photo editing software (Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Early adopter of new digital platforms and trends with fierce curiosity of "what's next?".
