Job Title: Digital Marketing and eCommerce Specialist

Company is the leading provider of rental equipment in the nation for Environmental Monitoring Equipment, Sampling and Safety Supplies, Non-Destructive Testing and Visual Inspection Instruments, as well as Continuous Emissions Monitoring (CEMS) Equipment and EPA Protocol Gases. A large stock of rental equipment is always in our warehouses across North America with the latest models available.

Job Purpose:

The Digital Marketing and eCommerce Specialist will support the Marketing Department digital marketing projects to support product rentals, sales, and services. This position will specialize in digital marketing projects including maintenance of the company’s e-commerce website (Shopify platform), building new website templates and landing pages, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), updating local branch listing content across internet directories, uploading e-commerce content with 3rd party vendors, social media content and postings, blog content and postings, review and report website and lead source analytics, designing ads and email campaigns, maintaining spreadsheet lists for website product content and pricing, and other marketing support materials.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Shopify e-commerce website maintenance: upload and update product content. This includes product descriptions, pricing, discount pricing for key customers, specification tables, photos, videos, product flyers or spec sheets, product manuals, training documents. Remove discontinued products as approved.
  • Shopify creative website design development: create and build website pages, templates, site architecture, mock-up concepts, enhancing user-experience. Experience developing custom pages using the Shopify platform. Animation and video embedding a plus.
  • E-commerce on 3rd party websites: upload product content and pricing on 3rd party e-commerce websites per their format requirements. Websites such as Amazon, eBay, etc.
  • Social media and blogs: design social media, blogs, and ad content. Schedule, post, and publish digital media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.). Help to manage product reviews.
  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and paid advertising: knowledge of SEO, organic search words, and paid advertising to increase traffic to Company’s website.
  • Digital content library: communicate with vendors to download their digital content, create and organize a digital content library on Company’s intranet. Format all Company’s digital content consistently and follow standard file naming conventions.



  • 2-5+ years of experience in building websites, web pages, HTML, e-commerce, Shopify platform
  • Knowledge of setting up e-commerce shipping, product sales taxes, and customer service a plus.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • Experience with HTML and CSS.
  • Proficient with PC operating systems.
  • Highly organized with exceptional time management and scheduling skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Knowledge of delivery requirements for both digital and print.
  • Self-starter who works autonomously, but also takes direction from the department manager.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Embedding videos and motion into web pages a plus, but not required.
  • Writing skills a plus.
