Director of Business Development Job Summary:

LOCATION - FREDERICK, MARYLAND. RELOCATION ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE.
Manage sales activities to drive product and market growth in the US and Electric Power Distribution Business predominantly in Low and Mid Voltage Sectors.

Develop and implement strategic sales plan to meet corporate sales and revenue goals in to a new and emerging space.
Review market data and analyses to determine markets, customer needs, prices schedules, etc.
Develop and direct channel development activity and coordinate sales and marketing activities
Develop and deliver sales presentation to existing and new clients/customers generating sales revenue
Determine, evaluate and overcome key customer objections and barriers to market
Liaise with stakeholders (internal and Group) on product development to meet US standards
Manage projects to specified requirements and timeframes
Directs staffing, training and performance of assigned staff and resources
Determine and develop new products and process to meet market demand
Develop annual business plan and profit center goals with CEO and Director of Engineering



Skills Required

Highly experienced in the Power Industry ( must be an Insider) from the manufacturing side.
Proven past expertise in successfully launching products in untested markets.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to frequent assignment changes
Strong conversational and persuasive/negotiation skills
Experience in Project Management
Strong industry knowledge specifically low to medium voltage
Ability to interpret intangible variables into concrete actionable plan and tasks
Ability to travel domestic and international (up to 50%) to support sales and market growth


Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline (Electrical)
Experience in medium voltage power distribution
Experience in make-to-order engineering environment preferred
Experience in low volume manufacturing environment preferred


Licensing or other Certifications Required

US Citizenship status required to support Federal Dept. of Defense applications
