Document Control Clerk
Location: Irvine, CA
Pay Rate: $17-$22 (depending on experience)
Shift: 8AM-5PM
Duration: End of the year covering a Leave of Absence

Adecco is assisting a local client in Irvine, CA to help source for a temporary Document Control Clerk. This client manufactures medical devices and this position will be covering a Leave of Absence, reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager. This candidate will perform routine office or clerical support tasks according to well established company procedures.

Job Duties:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Primary responsibilities are to:

  • Retrieves documents from storage and various areas, scan and archive on computer system, ensuring accuracy of scanned documents
  • Prioritizes work activities and use time efficiently
  • Ensures accuracy of documents with continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Effectively follows SOPs, policies, and FDA Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Provides support for the Quality Systems and Regulatory departments as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned


The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required for his position.

  • Education : High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Experience : Related experience working with Quality System or technical documentation systems, preferably in an FDA regulated environment
    • Working knowledge of ISO and FDA document management guidelines, regulations, and standards
    • Excellent communication, writing, editing, proofreading, and organizational skills
    • Outstanding attention to detail
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others in a positive and collaborative manner
    • Demonstrated ability to work accurately, follow instructions/schedules/timelines and handle multiple priorities
    • Ability to utilize multiple word-processing and database applications including MS Office applications Word, Excel, and other software applications as necessary
    • Ability to utilize electronic document control systems, e.g. Agile

Tools and Equipment Used:

Ability to utilize a computer, telephone, fax and copy machine as well as other general office equipment. Strong computer skills are required.

Physical Requirements:

While undertaking the essential duties and responsibilities of the position, the employee must repeatedly sit, listen, speak, type and move throughout the facility. Must can use a keyboard for computer purposes. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
