Document Control Specialist


Maintains a variety of project records and processes related paperwork; monitors records to verify compliance with project contract requirements; maintains liaison with Engineering team members and client staff. Employees at this level perform work independently.


Essential duties for this position include:

• May attend client meetings related to document control procedures.

• Prepares and submits information to clients

• Prepares and types correspondence, reports, and supporting documents.

• Familiar and complies with Independent Engineer Work Authorization records retention requirements and Independent Engineer Quality processes including document control procedures.

• Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.


The required competencies for this job include:

• Effective oral and written communication.

• Efficient using software programs including Excel, Word and Outlook.

• Efficient using Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) including SharePoint.

• Well-organized with ability to manage own time.



• 4-years' experience in document control processes and procedures.

• Preparing and maintaining records, files and reports.

• Communicating technical information effectively.

• The use of computers and applicable software programs, applications and systems.

• Maintaining a safe working relationship.
