POSITION: Document Specialist
LOCATION: Berkeley, CA
DURATION: 1.5 months *Possibility of extension*
PAY: $21/hour

Responsibilities
• Collect and organize documents.
• Maintain status information on progress using Excel
• Maintain a computer database of all filed documentation that ensures fast retrieval of documents
• Maintain Master Document Control Log and Files
• Proficient in managing electronic server/folder/file systems
• Good accuracy and attention to detail
• Document control specialists must be able to recognize problems, recommend solutions and put the solutions into action.
• Review documents for completeness and accuracy
• Update documents based on agreed-to set of instructions
• Document updates must be performed accurately
• Communicate issues
• Adhere to completion of activities, per the project master schedule.
• Support team goals and objectives, policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and FDA regulations
• Participate in periodic meetings with to discuss project schedule, progress and open issues.

Qualifications/Requirements
• Experience with MS Word a must
• Experience with MS Excel is a plus
• Must be organized
• Must be motivated and flexible
• Must be self-directed and independent
• Document Management experience is a plus
• Proficient at document processing (+50 WPM)
• High School Diploma or Equivalent with some college
