Job Summary
Duty Manager (DM) is responsible for managing all general cargo operation activities and assures/provides good services to customers within the unit concerned.

Job Responsibilities
The following responsibilities are associated with this job role:
• Supervise/control staff assignment, reporting and absences
• Control of staff overtime and compensation
• Personal presence during the daily operation at the unit concerned
• Maintain applicable safety and quality standards
• Maintains, up-date company’s and customer manuals and documentation
• Implements and monitors the local emergency plan
• Maintain good relationship with customers and airport authorities
• Solves any conflicts and irregularities, and takes appropriate action
• Attends to internal meetings
• Take disciplinary action with subordinated staff
• Assures all employees comply with company rules and airport’s authority requirements

Qualifications and Competencies
• University degree or equivalent, advanced degree in related field or professional certifications
are advantageous
• Excellent working knowledge of business management principles and practices, financial

Qualifications and Competencies

3-5 years of direct experience having oversight for high tonnage of ground or air cargo ( to include understanding ramp operations), across multiple terminals/stations.
Ability to lead large teams (35 plus ee's).
University degree or equivalent, advanced degree in related field or professional certifications are advantageous
Excellent working knowledge of business management principles and practices, financial concepts, and key drivers of profitability and operational performance.
Customer focus and quality awareness
Ability to deal with conflicts
Fluent spoken and written English
Ability to establish and maintain positive, professional, internal and external work relationships with all stakeholders and interest groups
