E-Learning Instructional Designer/Developer


ADECCO is currently assisting a premier manufacturing corporate client in their immediate search for an E-Learning Instructional Designer/Developer in Mt. Prospect, IL.



Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced e-learning Instructional Designer/Developer to work as an independent contractor on e-learning course projects that may include creating and/or updating SCORM based courses using Captivate and/or Articulate. This includes course design, course refresh, new course development, and learning management system (LMS) course/data migration support. The initial projects are planned for approximately October – December, with continued projects based on success.


Responsibilities:


Work with subject matter experts and course owners to define objectives for a course and/or curriculum. Participate in team brainstorming and strategy meetings to help define goals and direction.
Outline the concept for a course or curriculum, defining (needs for) the course medium, content delivery, assessments, accompanying materials, and complementary learning approaches.
Use PowerPoint or Adobe Captivate Draft to draft screen layouts storyboards, graphics and interactions appropriate to the content.
Quickly synthesize and edit course content based on input from subject matter experts, written material, previous training courses, interviews, etc.
Create multimedia, graphics, and interactive course solutions including developing the audio script for each course and work with subject matter expert following the established e-learning design standards and branding guidelines 20
Work with 3rd party Instructional designers and developers, voiceover talent, video production, and graphics sources to produce a draft and final version of each course.
Proof course at multiple stages of development and make or document required changes.
Maintaining well organized project documentation and folders with all course assets
Work with client personnel via email, phone, and in person to collect information needed to complete course development. As needed



Requirements:


3+ years of E-Learning Instructional Designer/Developer
Ability to create multimedia, graphics, and interactive course solutions including developing the audio script for each course and work with subject matter expert following the established e-learning design standards and branding guidelines
Experiences Proven successful work experience in e-learning instructional design and development technology
Skill Sets Intermediate level command of course authoring tools specifically Captivate, Articulate and course development methodologies
Experience with learning management systems, including Cornerstone and Canvas
Experience developing storyboards in Adobe Captivate Draft and preparing scripts
Foundational knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design models
Strong attention to detail
Ability to write effective copy and instructional text
Proven grammar and editing capabilities
Excellent time-management skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively
Excellent communication (written, verbal, interpersonal) skills
Language Skills
Technical Skills Strong visual/graphic design skills with experience in applications such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically PowerPoint

Experiences Background in healthcare a plus
