eCommerce Manager

Adecco is hiring for one of the World's Most Iconic Children's Book Publishing companies in the heart of Soho.

A mission driven organization also known as a Media and Education company has a need for an E-COMMERCE MANAGER


The ecommerce manager will be responsible for working closely with Head of ecommerce and Director of ecommerce to deliver business requirements, site analytics and reporting. He/she will collaborate with technical development and QA teams, user experience partners and SMEs to capture business requirements and user stories and be heavily involved in identifying root cause of site related issues. Candidate should possess exceptional attention to detail and a proven ability to work with business owners in a matrix organization. An understanding of web technologies and ecommerce is a must.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage project definition, deliverables, dependencies and timelines
  • Define and document use cases and functional requirements to fix customer pain points and enhance user experience
  • Ensures the proper level of communication within and between the technical delivery team and business functions to collaboratively develop web features, identify and resolve defects
  • Work closely with the ecommerce lead and creative team on UI and UX needs
  • Work with developers to provide business guidance throughout development and QA cycle
  • Interpret and summarize online traffic and online metrics
  • Must be comfortable with data analysis. Lead site optimization, including: A/B and multivariate testing, online surveys on customer feedback, cart abandonment and other similar analysis
  • Analyze and succinctly report customer feedback surveys and reports
  • Ideal candidate should be highly analytical, detailed-oriented, well-organized and be able to multitask and juggle multiple work streams seamlessly


  • Bachelor's degree with a quantitative or business focus
  • 3-4 years of experience in online and ecommerce space, business analytics, requirements gathering and reporting
  • Experience with JIRA. Agile and site analytics is a must
  • Experience with Demandware Salesforce & AEM
  • Consulting background a strong plus
  • Strategic, analytical and critical thinking skills, ability to break down complex problems and formulate plans based on knowledge of ecommerce practices
  • Knowledge of SEO techniques and experience with CMS.
  • Fundamental understanding of HTML/CSS, tagging and web publishing.
  • Solid knowledge of best practices in web usability and coding standards.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Must perform well under deadlines.
