Ecommerce Product Analyst

Adecco is assisting our fashion retail client Ann Inc. with their need to hire a consultant for a temp to perm opportunity. Our client, located in the heart of Times square, is looking for a recent college graduate who would have a passion for analytics and has experience using web analytics tools.

Position Overview

Product Analysts focus on setting up, gathering and analyzing e-commerce reporting from a variety of analytics packages (e.g. Adobe Analytics), interpreting the data and presenting insights and recommendations to the product team. They are also responsible for working on competitive benchmarking, industry research and user experience audits. They will act as a customer advocate, getting immersed in user needs, user mindset and assist in user testing and usability studies.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure high quality digital data across Ann Inc’s ecommerce experiences.
  • Partner with CRM team and technology team to resolve digital data and tracking issues or implement new tracking capabilities.
  • Support Product Managers in pulling metrics, analyzing the data (qualitative & quantitative reporting) and synthesizing and communicating insights during the product development process
  • Own, develop and analyze recurring e-commerce reporting for the Product Management team and our stakeholders
  • Support Product Managers in setting up, running and analyzing A/B tests. Collect requirements for objectives, methods and protocols needed for testing. 
  • Support Product Managers in development of key business documents such as UX comps, detailed functional specifications, business rules, use cases, and user flows.
  • Assist in running cross-functional Product Management meetings including agenda-creation, meeting recaps and follow-ups

Position Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in a related field of study, required
  • 1-2 years of experience using and supporting web analytics tools
  • Experience with reporting tools including Adobe Analytics (Omniture) and Google Analytics preferred
  • Highly analytical. Able to analyze both qualitative and quantitative data and can effectively communicate insights with stakeholders who may have little understanding of subject matter
  • Extremely detail-oriented and enterprising
  • Able to proactively problem-solve and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Passionate about the digital, retail, ecommerce space and of course, our client
  • Ability to quickly identify and eliminate technical/data-quality issues
  • Aptitude for numerical data with strong quantitative analysis skills
  • Ability to translate ambiguous concepts / direction into tangible tasks and deliverables
  • Be self-motivated, organized and able to motivate users, meet team and individual deadlines, and work with other teams
  • Eager to learn and comfortable undertaking new challenges
  • Stay current with evolving Adobe and Google Analytics features and capabilities
  • Stay current with issues and trends in the digital space, with an emphasis on measurement, especially for mobile and emerging technologies
  • Ability to create positive and professional business relationships that foster collaboration
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Office Suite
