POSITION: eLearning Content Developer

LOCATION: Whippany, NJ (Zip 07981)

DURATION: 6+ Months

PAY RATE: Up to $50/hr depending on experience

HOURS: 40 hrs per week

US Pharmaceutical Sales Training Department 

This role sits within the Technology Group within the US Pharmaceutical Sales Training Department. We support training, specifically by creating eLearning and administering training via the Learning Management System. We are training the US Pharmaceutical Sales Forces. 

The eLearning Content Developer using adult learning theories and sound instructional design methods will design and develop Learning content supporting all of the assigned Business Units. This individual will create eLearnings using Articulate Storyline and other eLearning software. This individual will be proficient in java script. 

• Work with team and staff members to develop and design learning content including but not limited to eLearning modules, assessments, etc. 
• Coordinate design, storyboards, interactions and media assets (graphics, text, audio, and video) while adhering to sound instructional design principles 
• Adapt all required material into course design to ensure legal requirements for course and departments standards are met in presentation of material 
• Work closely with graphic artist to develop any supporting images, video, audio and animation 
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of development process and remain current on trends within the eLearning field 
• Appropriately recommend enhancements to learning methodology and/or developing learning content using existing and emerging technologies 
• Engage SMEs to ensure relevant learning. Adequately scope, communicate, and plan for SME involvement to ensure accurate content design 
• Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with multiple assignments occurring simultaneously 
• Coordinate with SMEs and LMS administrators to ensure deliverables are met in a timely manner 
• Work with vendor partners to assist SMEs with the purchase of eLearning materials 
• Collaborate with external vendors to create content providing department savings and maximizes end product 
• Be present in meetings with external vendors to ensure organization is protected and discussions are aligned with department standards 

• BA or BS preferred 
• Preferred 5-8 years of progressive business experience 
• Strong interpersonal skills and business acumen to interact with many different departments and decision makers within the organization 
• Required experience managing a multitude of technologies including different programming languages (java script required), authoring tools (Articulate Storyline), LMS systems, content management systems, and knowledge management repositories. 
• Strong understanding of sound instructional design principals and the proper utilization of technology to enhance training delivery. 

• Demonstrated ability to create engaging learning experiences that include technology based learning, on-the-job and instructor-led training experiences that achieve desired results 
• Knowledge of and demonstrated experience with instructional design process, adult learning techniques, research methods and evaluation tools 
• Working knowledge of engaging workshop and online teaching methods and best practices 
• Flexible writing style that can be adapted to different mediums and reach a variety of audiences 
• Knowledge and use of standard English, correct grammar and ability to edit complex, detailed documents 
• Solid interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. 
• Skill in using project management tools and processes to achieve deadlines and desired results 
• Strong organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects at a time 
• PC skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and eLearning course development software, java script, ability to use videos, photos, sound, and interactive elements as needed
