Adecco Direct Placement is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a Direct Hire Electrical Controls Engineer/Maintenance Engineer Job near Athens, GA for our client, a well-established manufacturing facility.

The Electrical Controls Engineer/Maintenance Engineer Job offers:

Salaried position with 1st shift hours Monday-Friday with a weekend rotation required every six weeks.

Responsibilities:
This is a leadership role in the Maintenance Engineering department and will be supervising a team of technicians. The company is looking for someone with strong technical aptitude who also has the willingness and ability to lead and be held responsible for this department. Successful Maintenance Engineer candidates will be results driven and organized, with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems to discover the root cause of equipment or production failures. Engineer will also perform preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure reliability, and proper operation of equipment.

Qualifications:

Seven years of experience working as a Controls Engineer in an industrial environment is required.
Two years of experience directing electrical technicians.
Must be an expert in industrial control programming languages (ladder logic, function block, basic, sequential functional charts, etc.) and demonstrate complete knowledge of PLC Control Application Software. Specifically Allen Bradley Controls.
Strong knowledge in Instrument and Control Loop Calibrations and Tuning
Must be able to read electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints (pneumatic and hydraulic).
Must be able to work on systems operating at 480 volts AC and 600 volts DC and below
Must have the ability to troubleshoot and repair existing electrical systems and equipment by following electrical drawings and using test instruments such as a voltmeter, ammeter, oscilloscope, and PC.
Experience with AC & DC motors & drives. Able to troubleshoot speed loop by measuring reference voltage, voltage output to the motor and speed feedback
Must be proficient working with computers and industrial networks (ControlNet, DeviceNet, RS323, RS485, ModBus+, DataHighway+, Remote I/O, EthernetIP, etc.)
Must be able to understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics for performing testing, troubleshooting, and modifications.Must have basis AutoCad or AutoCad Lt software capabilities for troubleshooting and making changes to electrical drawings.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor's of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology from an accredited university required
