Electrical Engineer Project Manager


PROJECT ENGINEER - JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: - Frederick, MD.

My client, a German based firm designs and manufactures solid insulated bus bars types and cast-resin insulated bus bars representing a reliable new technical solution in the field of safe energy distribution, is in the market for a seasoned Electrical Engineer/Project Manager to:

A. Develop technical solutions in conjunction with the customer to promote the medium to high voltage EPC product line, market acquisition, and revenue.
B. Essential Functions:

A background din Electrical Engineering is mandatory as this person is the Subject Matter Expert and Divisional Business Leader for this line of business
Assess customer product/market needs and provide best solution sets including manufacturability requirements and maximizing value proposition
Liaise with technical colleagues, US and International, to determine product specification and costs
Lead projects/accounts to resolve technical issues and maximize value proposition
Apply appropriate design/engineering standard to designs ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards
Frequently domestic travel to customer site to develop solutions and resolve technical issues
Determine and develop new products and process with the Parent Group to meet market demand
Assist in presenting training programs to select customers and distributors
Support actions to increase effective market coverage of the products

C. Skills Required

7-10 years direct experience in an individual contributory or leadership capacity managing low/medium voltage ennginerring projects
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to frequent assignment changes
Strong conversational and persuasive skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Experience in MS Project Management AND Solidworks

D. Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline (Electrical or Mechanical)
Experience in medium voltage power distribution
Experience in make-to-order engineering environment preferred
Experience in low volume manufacturing environment preferred


Experience in MS Project Management AND Solidworks



E. Licensing or other Certifications Required

US Citizenship status required to support Federal Dept. of Defense applications
