Candidate Responsibilities: Electrical Engineering CO-OP Student will assist with the design and development of LED lighting fixtures, power/data supply products, and controllers. Tasks will include brainstorming, design, prototype creation, electrical testing, and design documentation. Student must bring energy and enthusiasm and be able to work with minimal supervision. Student will have an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the development of real solutions to actual design challenges, as an integral member of the engineering team. Job responsibilities would include: - Use of an EE CAD tool to enter schematics and design circuit board layouts. - Assembly and testing of prototype boards - Development and execution of test procedures - Selection of electronic components and communication with vendors. - Collaboration with coworkers in Optical, Mechanical, Industrial Design, and Firmware Engineering. Candidate Profile: - Educational Level: Senior, Junior, Middler. (Third year and above) - Enrolled in an EE program. - Ideal candidate would have some experience with schematic entry, soldering, and electrical testing using standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters. - Experience with firmware development, Altium Designer, thermal testing, and/or SMT assembly prototyping techniques would also be an asset.
