Electrical Manufacturing Engineer

Adecco has partnered with a leading provider of critical power and communication systems, with operations on the esat side of Rochester NY, to assist in their search for an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer.

The Electrical Manufacturing Engineer provides electrical manufacturing support for new product development. They will be tasked with creating assembly instructions, process work flows, tooling, fixtures and other documentation to assist in product manufacturing, specifically in regard to programming, calibration and testing of electrical assemblies.


General Responsibilities:

Provide manufacturing support as part of a cross functional development team.
Create process work instructions, tooling, and electronics fixtures for new products.
Collaborate with electrical engineering to process assemblies correctly in a production environment
Support electronic design for batteries, chargers, and power systems as part of a cross functional development team.
Develop and execute test requirements for electrical component characterization and verification.
Develop documentation within project timeline. Work on multiple project development teams.
Assist with prototypes and engineering builds (hands on capability required).
Perform Failure Analysis on manufacturing issues on the product.
Participate in the transition for new products into production.
Some travel required to support customer visits.


Qualifications:

BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
1-3 years related experience in product development or manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of/and experience with printed circuit board level testing/troubleshooting with typical electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, electronic loads, etc).
Strong technical knowledge of enclosure design and electronics.
Strong written and communication skills.
Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, ISO9001/ 13485 experience desired but not necessary.
