A local food production facility is looking to hire an Electrical Technician in Lodi, CA.  This is a direct hire opportunity.  The Electrical technician will work closely with both internal and external partners to plan, install and repair a wide variety of complex electrical equipment, automated machines and process controls.

Responsibilities for this Electrical Technician position include:

*   Plans, installs and repairs a wide variety of complex electrical equipment, including automatic machine and process controls, control centers and panels, relays, circuit breakers, and electronic controls

*   Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures and OSHA requirements; uses Lock out, Tag-out

*   Advises Line Operators and Mechanics of operational procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic equipment and components

*   Informs appropriate management and mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved

*   Supports the Maintenance department in their respective areas in matters pertaining to electrical, automation and control application/repair/optimization

*   Reads and follows electrical schematics for high voltage, low voltage and various control circuits

*   Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and programs Motors, Drives, PLC's, MCC's etc.

*   Runs conduit and pulls wire to NEC standards

*   Maintains performance and maintenance records for identified equipment

*   Researches parts and fill out parts requests

*   Installs new equipment and works with outside contractors to make sure they understand what’s required and that they follow all safety procedures

*   Performs Preventative Maintenance functions as directed

*   Interprets complex diagrams and schematics associated with manufacturing and support systems  

*   Completes work through delegation and cooperation with indirect reports and teammates

*   Performs other assigned duties as required



*   2 years of Technical College or equivalent work experience in the field of electronics and controls

*   At least 7 years progressive work experience with controls systems and Industrial Electrical

*   Advanced understanding of machine automation, control logics and the NEC standards

*   Working knowledge of various PLC and control systems

*   Requires a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation

*   Understand and follows procedures related to GMP’s, HACCP, PPE and Lock out/Tag out

*   Is able to safely lift items up to 50lbs

*   Is certified to use the motorized Pallet Jack, Fork Lift, Scissor Lift, Boom lift, Lock-out Tag-out

*   May be assigned to work in extremely cold or hot conditions

*   Most positions are located in areas with loud noise and will require the use of protective ear plugs

*   Requires frequent walking, occasional lifting up to 50lbs, standing for long periods of time, and some sitting, pulling, pushing and climbing

*   May also require performing some work in cramped or confined spaces

*   Willing to work any shift and overtime as required


Pay for this position is DOE as this is a direct hire position.
