The Electro-mechanic II takes a lead role when working with electrical systems and Maintenance teams. This position is responsible for performing electrical and mechanical installations, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing production equipment. The Electro-mechanic II will be the lead programmer of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) systems. In addition, this position will support the overall facility maintenance including but not limited to: basic plumbing, snow removal, event preparation, basic construction, painting, etc. Using their experience and strong work ethic, they will take complete ownership of the job; planning work around production schedules, working with a sense of urgency to focus on ensuring continuous production. They will have a genuine desire to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently, utilizing good work practices as part of a maintenance team or when working independently with minimal supervision. This position must adhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out - tag out rules and hearing and eye protection policies. Additional responsibilities will include: periodic training of proper system and machine operation and maintenance, assistance with creating SOP and other related documentation and cross-training into other job functions as needed. This position requires routine attendance to departmental, production, safety and Company meetings.





Requirements:




Associates Degree Electro-mechanics (or similar area of study) or Apprenticeship in Electromechanical Maintenance or equivalent years of experience (5 years industrial electromechanical experience in a similar working environment)
5+ years experience and knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and machine shop tools and equipment
Able to read, make and modify: electrical line diagrams, schematics and blue prints
Experience installing and modifying Variable Frequency Drives (VFD); installing, trouble shooting and programming PLC (Allen Bradley, etc.) and sequential programming devices
Experience with running conduit, relays, terminations, controls wiring, and motor control experience
Advanced knowledge of AC and DC motor drive controls
Ability to use all multi-meter, amp-meter, oscilloscope and other electrical test tools necessary
Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Strong problem solving ability
Ability to work well with a team as well as independently
Strong computer skills including MS Word and MS Excel
Experience in major upgrades/revisions both mechanically and with control systems
Valid PA driver’s license with ability to drive 24,900lb box truck or flat bed with manual or automatic transmission
Ability to exert up to 130 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move object
