Adecco in York, PA is assisting the world’s largest manufacturer of medical supplies, a Fortune 500 Company, in their search for a Temp to Hire Electronic Technician.
This is a 1st shift position paying $18 per hour

JOB DUTIES

• Estimates repairs needed and prepares service quotes for products to meet current standards.
• Evaluates, troubleshoots, and performs repairs that result in the product meeting current manufacturer requirements and standards.
• Completes all associated repair documentation, including repair service orders, unit and parts’ evaluations.
• Completes all computer entry in compliance with established standards and procedures.
• Tracks labor costs and parts used in the repair process.
• Communicates all findings or potential future problems with components to Quality Assurance and customers through documented descriptions entered into the notes’ section of repair database records.
• May be responsible for reviewing, documenting, logging, maintaining and initiating the investigation for potentially serious complaints.
• Maintains workplace organization, standards and safe working environments in line with company policies.
• Remains current on changes in policies, procedures and products

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

• Knowledgeable in the use of diagnostic and test equipment. Proficient in the operation of an oscilloscope, digital voltmeter, hypot and other test equipment for the evaluation, troubleshooting, final testing and calibration of repaired equipment.
• Familiarity with RF/wireless applications and related circuit configurations.
• Proficient in the use of data entry software.
• Familiar with Microsoft Windows operating system, and Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
• Able to read and understand technical information, i.e. service manuals, schematics, adjustment procedures, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and regulatory documentation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Associates degree in Electronics/Electromechanical Technology preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of trouble shooting and repair experience in a comparable technical environment; experience in precision soldering of miniature components.
