US-  FAA - Technician - Electronics L3


In your role you will: Construct, maintain, and test electrical systems and components. MUST be able to test & troubleshoot down to the component level. MUST BE ABLE TO READ SCHEMATICS - Read, identify, troubleshoot Use measuring and diagnostic tools to test and modify electronic parts. Ensure systems and components meet established specifications. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. As our ideal candidate, you will meet the following requirements: Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. May require 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Soldering background/experience is a PLUS Troubleshooting Electronics to component level PREFERRED experience. MUST HAVE ELECTRONICS BACKGROUND. Background in avionics electronics and mechanical background is very beneficial. Must be a U.S. citizen. LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WHO ARE FLEXIBLE TO WORK 1st OR 2nd shift.



- A strong level of experience working with plant I&C equipment, low-voltage transmitters, control loops, valves and valve controllers, motor controllers and electrical systems. 
- Performing planned maintenance to include scheduling projects and providing feedback reports. 
- Ability to use test equipment, schematics, technical drawings and manuals to isolate faults and repair equipment. 
- The ability to learn new systems and equipment procedures. 
- Computer literate, able to use Microsoft Windows and Office 
- Must be able to pass a Background Check & be Drug Free. 
- Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to get to work. 
- Travel in the local region to maintain equipment at other sites, could require overnight travel at times. 
- Ability to work well with teams where long hours are required and adherence to guidelines and SOPs are strictly enforced. 

This is can be a physically demanding position in that many of the systems you will be responsible for are in remote access locations in the powerplant complex (under equipment, up/down ladders, etc.) and you must have the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Candidates must be available to work emergency service and shift work as required. Candidates must be capable of carrying light hand tools.
