Job Purpose
This contract position will cover the job duties and responsibilities of the Email Marketing Manager while she is on Maternity Leave. The Email Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the B2B email marketing efforts for the Flood and Vehicle lines of business under the Assurant umbrella. Part strategist, part hands-on tactician, this person will work with vendors, marketing counterparts and across the Center of Excellence to develop and execute strategies and help elevate the expectations for all email marketing efforts.

Primary Job Accountabilities/Responsibilities
45% - Work with SFMC (Exact Target) in a technical capacity as well as a project management capacity, designing and coding email templates for all campaigns that are Responsive, deploying emails in a timely and routine manner to the intended audiences, setting up/monitoring basic automations, and managing client relationships as an email-industry thought leader.

25% - Work in collaboration with peers across the Center of Excellence and Assurant to hold consultations around initial email campaign strategy and how it integrates across channels to drive the biggest impact. Identifying user journeys and outlining the customer experience for each campaign to ensure it is in line with overall goals and objectives.

15% - Manage data with SFMC (Exact Target platform), creating segments, data extensions, suppression lists, imports, exports, and working with Inbox Pros (third party vendor) to ensure ongoing data hygiene cleansing and quarterly list cleansing.

15% - Update campaign reports and present findings and recommendations to continuously drive key performance metrics. Regularly monitor the competitive landscape to ensure email marketing strategies remain at the forefront.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience. (Agency is a plus)

Experience, Skills and Knowledge
• 3+ years of Responsive HTML coding knowledge, specifically in the email capacity, with tools like Litmus, Dreamweaver or Sublime.
• 2+ years of Responsive Email design experience and knowledge of responsive design best practices with tools like Photoshop or Sketch.
• 1+ year(s) experience working with ExactTarget.
• Experience or comfort with deploying emails, managing client relationships, presenting for C-suite and keeping track of ongoing projects with various timelines and priorities.
• Ability to identify key performance metrics, develop reports and derive actionable insights using Excel.
• Ability to create and manage basic automated email marketing campaigns.

Other Requirements
Candidate will be asked to deliver an email design of their choosing as well as sample code of that design to ensure ability with HTML & knowledge of email design best practices.

Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge
• Experience working with the Pardot platform is a plus.
• Experience working with AMPscript is a plus.
