I’m on a search for an Engineering Manager for a renowned company that provides flight-critical components and assemblies for the commercial, defense and business jet markets. Very reputable and stable company they have been around for more than 50 years and provides designs and produce custom-engineered high pressure / high temperature ducting assemblies for each customer’s specific performance needs and requirements.

This is an incredible opportunity to work in aerospace for a company that has one of the most sought-after connectors in the entire industry. The office is located in Simi Valley, CA.

You will report to the Engineering Director and will be responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and control a variety of activities related to engineering and R&D. Projects will include New Produce Development designs, Build-to-Print, Design to Spec just to name a few. You will ensure the completion of the projects from the Request for Proposal phase through Contract Award, detailed Design, Design/Validation / Certification, initial Production and sustaining engineering efforts.

• Salary is $90K - $130K DOE + awesome benefits

Bachelor's Degree in ME, Physics, EE, Aeronautical Engineering or IE, Mechanical Engineering preferred. Understanding of a broad range of engineering skills prererably in aircraft/aerospace design and structural analysis. Product development background necessary.

5-8 + years of experience in metallic or composite ducting and motion compensator design per ARP 699 guidelines as Project / Systems Engineer, or equivalent experience in ECS, bleed air, or AMS system or component design in the following industries: Valves| Heat Exchangers| Turbo Machinery| Fuel Tank Inert Systems| Wing-Anti Ice Systems |Ram Air Systems | High Pressure or Low Pressure pneumatic systems | Structural design

Experience with aircraft certification, Transport Canada, and/or FAA 14 CFR FAR 25 requirements

Experience from program award (kick-off) to Milestones such as: PDR (Preliminary Design Review), CDR (Critical Design Review), PRR (Production Readiness Review), SOF (Safety of Flight), EIS (Entry-into-Service).

Experience with analysis tools such as FEA/FEM tools MSC NASTRAN / PATRAN, ANSYS, ATA Nastran / FEMAP

Experience writing certification documentation such as: ATP, QTP, QTR, etc.

Test experience per RTCA-DO/190 or MIL-STD-810 (vibration and environmental tests).
