Engineering Technician III

Adecco is currently assisting a local client, the World’s Largest Search Engine, in their search to find a Reliability  Test Engineering Technician II. This is part of an exciting fast-growing project within the Search Engine. This is a temporary assignment slated for 12 months with the possibility of extending longer and will sit in Mountain view, CA.


Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
  • Follow established reliability test procedures and perform various environmental and mechanical reliability testing, photographic documentation of test setup and results, and report generation.
  • Set up and run test equipment (Electronic measurement equipment, Instron tensile/compression system, Optical/digital microscope, Environmental chambers, Corrosion chambers) Record, analyze, and report test results using spreadsheets and charts.

Other Responsibilities include:
  • Perform electrical testing using Impedance Analyzers, LCR meters, Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers and Oscilloscopes
  • Operate thermal chambers for temperature and humidity testing Program axial robots
  • Provide timely updates on testing progress
  • Responsible for several tests / products throughout the development life cycle
  • Responsible for safe operation of test setups Document work performed via post test reports
Mandatory Skill set:
  • 2-4 years of experience in a testing lab or manufacturing with electrical (and some mechanical) component / system testing Experience with laboratory equipment, sample preparation, and general lab processes Use of Environmental Chambers Familiarity with Mechanical Shock testers
  • Experience with chemical testing Electrical test equipment such as impedance analyzers, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers and other EE test equipment
  • Experience operating and troubleshooting mechanical and electronic equipment in a lab environment including: to power test systems to monitor performance and for failure Strong computer skills
  • Proficient with Google Docs Spreadsheet and presentation familiarity
  • Able and willing to do repetitive tasks
  • Able to work independently and with a group
  • Strong attention to detail Good verbal and written communication skills dealing with internal and external customers.
