The Test and Validation Technician is responsible for ensuring quality designs through comprehensive requirement testing and validation of Small Personal Transportation Vehicles. We are looking for high-energy engineering talent with an enthusiasm for hands on work and learning. The ideal candidate is an individual possessing a passion for leadership, change, team spirit, and enthusiasm. In this test technician roll, individuals will have the authority, support, and autonomy to execute the vision as well as establishing themselves as high-respected contributors. The position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of different alternative vehicle components, subsystems and vehicles. The position requires the technical expertise to develop and lead product validation testing, drive to root cause for quality and reliability issues, and conduct projects in accordance with engineering excellence.

Core Responsibilities: Test Candidate Key Responsibilities
• Experience with data acquisition equipment (SOMAT,EDAQ, M+P, B&K, etc…)
• Experience with the setup of data acquisition, instrumentation collection of data.
• Must be a self-starter who can work with little direction from engineer.
• Must be able to write detailed test plans and reports with notes, plots, and photos.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Must have machine shop capability with fixture design experience.
• Data acquisition equipment and methods.
• Mechanical and Electrical testing methodologies.
• Experience with sensors, strain gauges.
• Data analysis, reduction and graphing, preferably with automation.
• Project management.
• Problem solving (9-step, 8D, etc.).

Desired Attributes
• Knowledge of vehicles and their major subsystems (engines, motors, axles, suspensions, etc)
• Experience completing driver and drive by vehicle sound qualification testing and with dyno testing to collect vehicle vibration data.
• Experience with diagnosis of issues and irregularities in rotating machinery such as gears, bearings, shafts, etc.
• Experience completing durability tests of components using electrodynamic/hydraulic shaker systems
• Experience with sound quality metrics, measurements, and jury evaluations
• Experience with both gas and electric powertrain NVH issues.
• Competency in Microsoft products including, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint required.
• Ability and work as a member of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent technical, analytical, and problem solving skills. Education and/or Experience Required:
• Required: High School diploma.
• Preferred: Associates Degree in related technical field.
• Knowledge of NVH data collection and analysis. Related Experience: 5+ years
