Position: Environmental Health and Safety Administrator
Location: Middlesex, NC 27557
Duration: 3+ Months
Compensation: $25.00 to $30.00 /hour
Total Weekly Hours: 40 Hours Per week
Shift: Standard shift is 8 – 5, however over time may be required



Description:

Complete work station risk assessments
Hazard identification
Identify and complete CAPAs for hazards by using the safety controls (eliminate, engineering, administrative, PPE)
Review and update MFOPs with the CAPAs identified from the work station risk assessments
Implement ergonomic improvements such as tooling
Material handling improvements which will include improvement of methods as well as identification of better material handling equipment.
Actively participate in all practices and EHS procedures.
Assist the EHS Manager in the implementation of all EHS programs.
Assist in the implementation of Security Analysis at Work (JSA) for all plant positions and recommends corrective actions.
Implement corrective measures derived from JSA approved.
Assist in the industrial hygiene monitoring and training.
Assist the implementation of EHS training.
Work with the EHS Manager in all documentation and registration.
Guide and direct others as needed to comply with environmental and safety regulations.
Interact with EHS providers, regulatory agencies and businesses.

Additional skills

The expectation is for the individual(s) to have good project management skills and have the ability to make sure each task/assignment is done to completion.
Will need to be flexible and adjust to a fast pace environment.

Basic Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Science or other environmental, health and/or safety related areas (industrial engineering, mechanical engineering etc.) with at least 6 months of working experience
At least 2 years of experience in EHS function in a manufacturing environment Expected Occasionally
